NFL Week 7 Friday Injury Report: Lamar, Puka and the DFS Fallout
Tyler Redshaw
Friday's injury reports are in for most of the Week 7 Sunday main slate on DraftKings (10 games, first kickoff 1:00 PM ET). Two stars lead the list: Lamar Jackson's ankle is still undecided in Baltimore, and Puka Nacua is questionable after a calf issue cut his Thursday practice short. Below are the eight situations that matter most for DFS and who gains from each.
A note on the numbers: our projections were last updated before Friday's reports came out, so the board hasn't yet moved work away from players ruled out today. For teams hit by an absence we talk about role and salary for now. We only list proj where the news is still questionable or undecided. Check the live Week 7 NFL projections after the board updates.
Lamar Jackson (BAL): undecided, ankle
- Status: Jackson has missed the past two games with a left ankle injury. He was limited Wednesday and Thursday and practiced Friday. Coach Jesse Minter said the team is "still working through that" and that Jackson got "a pretty good amount of work in." Jackson said he is "heading in the right direction" and "if it feels better tomorrow, we'll know tomorrow."
- Source: Jamison Hensley, ESPN.
- DFS impact: This is the biggest open QB question on the slate. Jackson ($6,700) could go either way, so wait for the final word before locking in a Baltimore QB.
- If Jackson sits: Tyler Huntley (QB, $4,900) 15.6 proj, Derrick Henry (RB, $7,900) 16.8 proj, Zay Flowers (WR, $6,900) 13.0 proj, Mark Andrews (TE, $3,900) 6.6 proj.

Puka Nacua (LAR): questionable, calf
- Status: Nacua left Thursday's practice early and did not practice Friday. Sean McVay said Nacua felt he couldn't "have some of the power and full explosion" and will work out before the game. The Rams will decide during pregame warmups, per Nate Atkins.
- Source: Ian Rapoport, NFL Network; Sarah Barshop, ESPN.
- DFS impact: Davante Adams is already on injured reserve. Rams-Raiders kicks off at 4:25 PM ET, so you can start Nacua and keep a pivot ready in a late slot.
- Nacua: WR, $8,400, 25.4 proj.
- If he sits: Tyler Higbee (TE, $3,500) 10.2 proj, Konata Mumpfield (WR, $3,200) 7.3 proj, Colby Parkinson (TE, $3,000) 7.1 proj, Kyren Williams (RB, $7,000) 17.0 proj.

David Montgomery (HOU): out, groin
- Status: Montgomery is out Sunday against the Giants, and Jawhar Jordan is out too.
- Source: Aaron Wilson, KPRC 2.
- DFS impact: Woody Marks (RB, $5,600) is the only healthy back left from Houston's regular rotation and should get most of the work. Dare Ogunbowale and Deuce Vaughn are the depth.
- Also in this game: C.J. Stroud (QB, $5,700) and Nico Collins (WR, $7,200).

Tyler Warren (IND): out, groin
- Status: The Colts ruled out Warren, WR Anthony Gould (concussion) and CB Sauce Gardner (calf) for Sunday at Minnesota.
- Source: Indianapolis Colts; Adam Schefter, ESPN.
- DFS impact: ESPN's Jeremy Fowler calls Warren "a huge part of the Colts' offense," and this is his second straight missed game. His targets go to the wideouts and to Jonathan Taylor out of the backfield.
- Beneficiaries: Jonathan Taylor (RB, $8,000), Keenan Allen (WR, $4,800), Josh Downs (WR, $5,600). Mo Alie-Cox (TE, $2,800) is a cheap fill-in at tight end.

Emeka Egbuka (TB) out, Baker Mayfield back
- Status: Egbuka (concussion) is officially out against Carolina. Mayfield practiced fully all week and carries a questionable tag, but Todd Bowles said he is "ready to go" and will start after missing three games.
- Source: Greg Auman, Fox Sports; Jenna Laine, ESPN; Around The NFL.
- DFS impact: Mayfield gets his job back, but his No. 1 target is out. Chris Godwin Jr. and Cade Otton are the clearest gainers, and Ted Hurst III is the cheapest way into this passing game.
- Beneficiaries: Chris Godwin Jr. (WR, $4,300), Cade Otton (TE, $3,100), Ted Hurst III (WR, $3,000), Tez Johnson (WR, $3,200). Mayfield is $5,500.

Jeremiyah Love (ARI): out, ankle
- Status: Love is still recovering from a high-ankle sprain and will miss a second straight game, coach Mike LaFleur said. QB Carson Beck (back) is also on the injury report.
- Source: Ian Rapoport, NFL Network.
- DFS impact: Arizona's backfield goes back to a committee against Denver, and Trey McBride stays the focal point of the passing game.
- Beneficiaries: Tyler Allgeier (RB, $5,000), Bam Knight (RB, $4,100), Trey McBride (TE, $7,400).
Brian Robinson Jr. (ATL) out; 49ers WRs banged up
- Status: The Falcons ruled out Robinson (hamstring) against the 49ers, per Will McFadden. On the other side, Mike Evans (ribs/Achilles) was not at the start of Friday's practice, per Matt Barrows. NBC Sports Bay Area calls Evans "likely out." Deebo Samuel did not practice Thursday, per Nick Wagoner.
- Still pending: San Francisco's official Friday designations come after Kyle Shanahan speaks this afternoon. The 49ers also released DE Ogbo Okoronkwo, which Wagoner says clears a roster spot for a potential activation of WR Christian Kirk from injured reserve.
- DFS impact: With Robinson out, Bijan Robinson (RB, $8,500) has the Atlanta backfield to himself. If Evans and Samuel both sit, San Francisco's offense runs through Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle.
- 49ers proj (before any Evans adjustment): Christian McCaffrey (RB, $7,600) 20.9 proj, George Kittle (TE, $5,700) 16.0 proj.

Breece Hall (NYJ): questionable, quad
- Status: Aaron Glenn said Hall would be limited Friday and listed as questionable against Miami. WR Adonai Mitchell (finger) practiced fully and will play after missing four games.
- Source: Rich Cimini, ESPN.
- DFS impact: If Hall can't go, Braelon Allen becomes the lead back. Mitchell's return gives the Jets another receiver next to Garrett Wilson.
- Proj: Breece Hall (RB, $6,000) 9.4 proj, Braelon Allen (RB, $5,900) 7.6 proj, Garrett Wilson (WR, $6,500) 14.3 proj, Adonai Mitchell (WR, $4,500) 5.5 proj.
Quick hits
- Miami: Jeff Hafley said WR Caleb Douglas (ankle) and RB Jaylen Wright (foot) will play against the Jets, per the Miami Herald.
- Tennessee: WR Calvin Ridley (hip) did not practice Friday and is questionable against Cleveland, per Turron Davenport of ESPN.
- Houston: DeMeco Ryans said Monday that Tank Dell (knee) is on track to come off injured reserve and make his season debut against the Giants, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2.
